The Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications will equitise its 11 corporations later this year.
Under the ministry’s plan, Civil Engineering Construction Corporation 1 (Cienco 1), Cienco 5, Thang Long Construction Corporation, Viet Nam Waterway Construction Corporation (Vinawaco) and Southern Waterborne Transport Corporation (SOWATCO) will be equitised in 2007.
The ministry added that Viet Nam Airlines Corporation will be equitised in 2008, while Cienco 4, Cienco 6, Cienco 8, Viet Nam Motors Industry Corporation (Vinamotor), and Northern Waterborne Transport Corporation will be equitised in 2009.
According to the ministry, it has instructed the above corporations to work out their equitisation plans to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
