Japanese insurer launches operation in Viet Nam

The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Group of Japan has officially inaugurated the operation of the Dai-ichi Viet Nam Life Insurance Company, the first Japanese life insurance company working in Viet Nam.

Addressing the opening ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on March 7, Katsutoshi Saito, General Director of the Dai-ichi Group, appreciated the potential of Viet Nam's insurance market and pledged to provide best products and services.

Dai-ichi Life Insurance Group, the second largest life insurer in Japan, is ranked sixth in the world in terms of revenue.Dai-ichi Viet Nam Life Insurance was created by the transfer of ownership from the Life Insurance Bao Minh CMG joint venture company (Bao Minh Insurance Corporation and the Australian financial and banking group Commonwealth) to its current holder Dai-ichi Life Insurance of Japan.-
