Viet Nam’s indexes continue to decline

Viet Nam’s indexes continued to decline by the end of the July 18 morning trading session.
By closing, the VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre slipped by 1.58 points to finish at 994.73 points.

During the session, almost 4.25 million shares, worth nearly 479 billion VND, were traded. Twenty-nine shares rallied for gains while 58 fell and 22 showed no change.

Lugia Mechanical Electric Joint Stock Company (LGC), Saigon Fuel Company (SFC) and Tuong An Oil Joint Stock Company (TAC) topped the list of gainers, tacking 5,000 VND each onto its listed price.

Meanwhile, Tay Ninh Cable Tour Company (TCT), Song Da Urban and Industrial Zone Investment and Development (SJS) and Hoa Binh Construction and Real Estate Corporation (HBC) were among the biggest losers of the day.

At the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre, the HaSTC-Indes dropped 2.41 points to finish at 269.84 points. The volume was low as only 672,100 shares, worth over 65 billion VND, changed hands at the Capital’s bourse.

Hoa Phat Construction Stone (HSC) topped the list of big movers during the day, up 17.900 VND per unit, followed by Song Da Simco (SDA) and Song Da 5 (SD5).

BaoViet Securities (BVS), Petrolimex Sai Gon Transportation and Services (PSC) and Bao Minh Insurance Joint Stock Company (BMI) were among stocks that suffered the biggest loss during the session.
