Stock indexes on both centres continue downward trend

Both the Ho Chi Minh City’s bourse and its Ha Noi-based counterpart reported losses by the end of the July 20 trading session.

Although 62 shares rallied for gains, the VN-Index at the HCM City Securities Trading Centre decreased by 3.12 points or 0.32 percent from the previous session, finishing up on 981.3 points.

Close to 4.95 million shares, worth over 436 billion VND, changed hands over the course of the session.

Blue chips such as Binh Dinh Mining (BMC), Tay Ninh Cable Car Tour (TCT) and Hau Giang Pharmaceutical (DHG) recorded the biggest losses during the day.

The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre recorded a slight decrease of 0.63 points, the third consecutive fall, to finish at 267.42 points.

However, trading volume increased as 768,900 shares, worth more than 75.2 billion VND were traded with 39 shares gaining and 32 falling over the course of the session.
Hacinco (HSC) continued to draw investors’ attention by tacking on 17,300 VND to its listed price of 237,700 VND.

Saigon Securities (SSI) and Asian Commercial Bank (ACB) both recorded transaction volumes of over 100,000 shares.
