Indices drop further

The Vn-Index at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) saw a remarkable decrease of 26.53 points or 2.83 percent to close at 909.15 points by the end of the August 13 trading session.

Today's total trading volume also dropped with 4 million shares worth nearly 408.5 billion VND changing hands.

The market saw only 10 stocks gain, 95 other decline and eight stocks remain unchanged.

Blue-chipper Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC) topped the list of gainers by tacking 7,000 VND onto its listed price of 385,000 VND, followed by Full Power JSC (FPC), Lu Gia Mechanical Electric JSC (LGC), Royal Int'l JSC (RIC) and Cat Loi JSC (CLC).

Meanwhile, Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) dropped sharply by 13,000 VND per unit, followed by Hau Giang Pharmaceutical JSC, Song Da urban and industrial zone developer (SJS) and Tay Ninh Cable Car Tour (TCT).

The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre dropped 2.86 points to finish at 254.48 points.
Today’s trading volume saw 780,800 stocks worth 80.178 billion VND traded. The session witnessed 14 stocks rally for gains, seven remain unchanged, 53 decline and 14 record no transactions.
