VN-Index, HaSTC-Index report slight increases

Both the Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi bourses continued their upward trend with their indexes recording slight increases by the end of the July 11 trading session.

The VN-Index at the country’s largest bourse - Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre - climbed by 6.81 points or 0.67 percent from the previous session to close at 1,029.85 points.

Hau Giang Pharmaceutical topped the list of 63 gainers, tacking 21,000 VND onto its listed price, followed by Imexpharm Pharmaceutical (IMP), Hoa Binh Construction and Real Estate (HBC) and Domesco Medical Import-Export (DMC).

Meanwhile, Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC), Binh Minh Plastics (BMP), Tay Ninh Cable Tour (TCT) and Nam Viet (NAV) were among the biggest losers, with between 3,000-5,000 VND carved off their values.

Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (STB), Refrigeration Electrical Engineering (REE), PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services (PVD), Song Da Urban and Industrial Zone Investment and Development (SJS) and Hoa Binh Construction and Real Estate (HBC) led the market in terms of transaction volume.

More than 5.1 million shares worth 523.6 billion VND (32.7 million USD) changed hands during the course of the session.

At the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre, the HaSTC rose by 0.42 points to finish at 282.46 points, with 1.28 million stocks worth 132.1 billion VND (8.25 million USD) traded on the day.

Saigon Securities (SSI) continued to be the most traded stock, with 335,600 shares changed hands, despite a decrease of 800 VND in its price.

Hacinco (HSC), Song Da Simco (SDA), Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), Saigon General Service (SVC), Song Da 5 (SD5) recorded the largest gains, while Viet Nam National Reinsurance (VNR), Song Da Yaly (SDY) and Central Area Electrical Mechanical (CJC) suffered the biggest losses.
