Denmark's third largest asset management bank, BankInvest, opened a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, on May 23.
After the opening ceremony, the group that owns a chain of 53 medium- and small-sized banks and has a total combined capital of 25 billion USD, signed a strategic partnership contract with the Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint Stock Co.
Terms of the contract sate that BankInvest would provide 32 billion VND (2 million USD) for Duc Thanh to develop its production capacity. It will also help the company build a listing roadmap and raise its competitiveness on the stock market.
On May 22, the group signed a similar contract with the 3A Insurance Company.
BankInvest has announced plans to pour capital into Vietnamese companies that specialize in finance, consumer goods, packaging, agricultural products, tourism and services.
