IMF predicts strong growth in 2007

Vietnam’s economy should continue to boom in 2007, according to the assessment of International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its annual report 2006 that has been released recently.According to the Central Institute for Economic Research, this report has showed a very positive forecast about Vietnam’s economy at post-WTO. Accordingly, Vietnam will continue reaching the economic growth of 7.6% in 2007 though it still has to face many new challenges.The executive director council of IMF praised the high and steady economic growth and fast poverty reduction of Vietnam and affirmed that it will continue helping the country bring its economy to become a market economy and Vietnam is always the attractive destination of foreign investors.
